I began my career as a model, by simply attending invitations that I got, to act as a amateur model on the runway. It was then that I got discovered by my manager Sherry Alberto, who finally convinced me to follow runway and photo shoot classes. After successfully finishing of that, I got several opportunities to appear as a professional model on the runway. I also took part in several photo shoots, appearing in both magazine as tv commercials on my lovely island of Curacao.
My role model in this fashion industry, actually is Tyson Beckford. The reason is that although he’s almost my age, he is still rocking the runway. And so am I.
Attending the Plitzs New York Fashion Week, twice in 2017 was an extra ordinary experience for me. I also got the chance by the photographs of Spice Fotor, to took part in an African photo shoot. This shoot took place on a rooftop, barefoot and in a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius.
Last but not least, I also got an invitation to participate in the Plitzs New York model of the year competition, that took place in 2017 and was very very enthusiastic about this one. The reason why is because my 11 years old daughter at thay time, competed also in the category of Kids Fashion Democracy, in New York on that same day. And so it became a combination of father and daughter on the runway. As far as I can remember, this was the first time in history, that a father and her daughter originating from Curacao, was on a runway in New York.
